Salon Procedures and Policies

A very warm hello to you, please familiarise yourself with our policies and procedures. We have outlined them for you here so that we can ensure a safe and positive experience during your visit with us.

I’m sure at this stage, most will be familiar with a lot of the measures we have in place to ensure you have an enjoyable visit with us but for those of you visiting for the first time, the following document highlights the health and safety measures we have implemented with your and our health in mind…… It is important that you read and understand it correctly. We will explain here our salon policy and procedures. It will also give details on important salon information that you need to be aware of before your visit. We hope it gives you clarity and confidence that you can visit Claire Allan’s hair design knowing these measures are in place.

Important things about making your appointment

🔘How to make an appointment
You can download our free app (Claire Allan’s hair design) in your App Store and follow the prompts to set up an account and make/ view and cancel any of your appointments from there.

You can also make a booking through our online system by visiting our website www.claireallanshairdesign.ie, and/or visiting our facebook/ instagram page and clicking the ‘Book Now’ link on the page.

Please be aware that all appointments made through these channels will require a booking fee, we will also require a booking fee for appointments made in the salon or over the phone during our very busy periods ie. Christmas, communions etc….. Please see our cancellation policy below for more information on refunding/non refunding of these fees

You can make an appointment by simply calling the salon on 01-8954330 and please, do leave a voicemail. Due to the salon being busy , it’s most likely that we won’t be able to answer the phone but will return your message as soon as a member of our team is free.

🔘If you have coloured your hair since we last saw you, we totally understand. We do however need to skin test you and strand test your hair to make sure there are no reactions or sensitivities that could have developed. It only takes 5 minutes to do and must be carried out at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you fail to have your skin test in time, this may incur a late cancellation fee if we can’t fill the appointment. If you’ve made an online appointment, please contact the salon directly to arrange a time to have your skin test completed at least 48hours before your appointment or you may also lose your deposit.

🔘It is important that you book yourself in for the correct services you will require, If you fail to book in for a service you require, the likelihood is, we will not be able to accommodate you. If you are unsure of all of the services/treatments you will need, please speak with a member of staff to have a brief consultation and they will explain what services you’ll need to book in for .

🔘All bookings made directly to the salon for the month of December will only be secured on receipt of a booking fee (*see below*) that is fully redeemable against your services on the day of your appointment and refundable or transferable to another appointment time provided we receive more than 24hours notice. Anyone canceling their appointment with less than 24hours notice will lose their booking fee. If we manage to fill your cancellation we will absolutely refund your booking fee to you.or transfer it to slater dated appointment.

🔘*All booking deposits vary on the type of service you are booking in for and range from €15-€40 ie. deposits for a blow dry are €15 or for a colour are €40. Unfortunately, this is something we have to implement due to last-minute cancellations and no-shows, we hope that you can fully support us on this and thank you in advance.

🔘If making your appointment through our online services, please familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions. Late arrivals or last-minute cancellations will incur a charge.

🔘 If you’ve made your appointment through the app you can cancel it using your app up to 24 hours prior to your appointment. After this time you will need to contact the salon directly and you may incur a charge if we are unable to fill the appointment

🔘Please be aware that the salon is closed on Sundays and Mondays, if you leave a voicemail to cancel an appointment for Tuesday, unfortunately, it won’t be picked up until Tuesday and we can’t consider this 24-hour notice. If you need to cancel an appointment for Tuesdays whilst we are closed, we will require you to email us at claireallanshairdesign@gmail.com, or PM us either on Facebook or Instagram, we can then amend your appointment and refund or transfer your deposit

🔘Our €5 COVID charge has been fully absorbed by the many increases we have incurred since the beginning of the year, we have adjusted our prices through the online system to amend this and have removed the COVID charge. Please be aware that a few and not all of our services have had a price increase to cover costs. The minimum amount possible of services have been affected by this. We hope you can understand and continue to support us going forward.

We continue to supply and maintain our health and safety P.P.E and cleaning routine. Please see the section on Health and safety measures for more details

🔘All discounted services ie. Children’s cuts/students are from Tuesday to Thursday only. If we have availability at the weekend we will of course be happy to accommodate you on the day but unfortunately, you will not be able to pre-book appointments for these days, please be aware if you book your child under your own name for a cut & blowdry outside of these days, you will be charged the full & not discounted service price. This is also the case for our busy Christmas period.
